Objective Area Solutions is excited to have Brian Konie join as Director of FAA Programs. He comes to the company with a deep understanding of program management and an extensive background in the government sector. Brian is a retired Marine Corps Air Traffic Control (ATC) Officer, having led ATC operations around the globe. During his military career, he served as a hand-selected instructor and Marine ATC Division Head for Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1). In this role, Brian was responsible for training more than 500 military aviation personnel, revising military ATC doctrine and guidelines, and testing emerging command, control, and communications (C3) technology for future implementation.
In addition to his extensive military background, Brian also served as a consultant to a variety of high visibility and complex programs, including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. He served as a principal advisor to the Chief Information Officer and has extensive experience with development, implementation, and sustainment of IT initiatives. Brian’s expertise was instrumental in helping clients define internal processes and procedures as part of enhancing organizational maturity, specifically related to achieving Capabilities Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certifications.
Brian has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Kansas and lives in Virginia with his family.
