Mr. Byers is a recently retired banking executive with 40+ years of experience managing lending teams in the Washington DC market. In his most recent role as Executive Vice-President and Chief Lending Officer, he helped lead a commercial bank which grew in asset size from $150 million to over $2 billion in 10 years. One of the lending groups under Mr. Byers specialized in debt financing for government contractors who ranged in revenue size from less than $5 million to over $200 million. During his tenure as Chief Lending Officer, Mr. Byers team developed a specialty in financing mergers and acquisitions in the GOVOCN space, with his team successfully financing over $200 million dollars of mergers in 5+ years.

Previously, Mr. Byers held senior positions at Wachovia, BB&T (now Truist) and Citibank. Mr. Byers holds a B.A. in Political Science from The Pennsylvania State University and an M.S. in Business Administration from Strayer University. Additionally, Mr. Byers has served as Chairman of the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce and as a Board member of Loudoun Water.
